A 100 × 100 mm post, in a hole 300 mm across and 600 mm deep, takes 2 bags of 20 kg. That is the Heidelberg PostFix figure for June 2025.

A 75 × 75 mm post, in a hole 250 mm across and 600 mm deep, is counted at 1½ bags. That is a rough allowance, not a manufacturer row. The tally multiplies it out and rounds up, because bags are sold whole.

A wider hole, soft ground, or a heavy gate needs more than this. Read the bag before you load the car.
